look that includes stylish Brushed “Platinum” baffles designed to
satisfy the trend for “Silver” in today’s home theater market, upscale
detailing on matching kick plates, and elegantly curved,
low-diffraction grilles. Performance speakers are still designed for
smaller spaces and smaller budgets—typically customers entering the
world of high-end audio for the first time.
Technical specifications remain untouched on this version of these award-winning loudspeakers. Drivers feature high-performance CMC™ Ceramic Metal Composite domes for spacious and transparent high-frequency presentation, no matter where you sit in the room. Ferro-fluid cooling ensures greater high-power handling, particularly important in meeting the demands imposed by today’s higher bandwidths. MPC™ Metallescent Polymer Cones teamed with large motor/magnet structures deliver very smooth and detailed midrange reproduction. Bass response is extraordinary—even in the tiny, award-winning Atom. Chassis configurations include die-cast baskets in the smaller models and GRIP™ glass-reinforced injection-molded polymer baskets in the larger speakers; both styles are exceptionally rigid to eliminate flexing and ringing.
