Church Production Magazine Increases Readership

Church Production Magazine Merges with Church Sound to become the Single Source for the Technical House of Worship Market

Cary, N.C—October 4, 2006 — Church Production Magazine (CPM) announced today an overall expansion in readership, frequency and editorial for 2007. The magazine, founded in 1999 by Production Media, Inc, an EH Publishing, Inc. partner, is the leading technology magazine servicing the house of worship market.

Church Production Magazine will grow in both frequency and readership in the new year with the magazine increasing to 10 issues annually and circulation expected to reach 30,000 (BPA Membership applied for January 2006). The expansion of CPM can partly be attributed to integrating Church Sound magazine, a Huge Universe Inc. publication, into the circulation of Church Production Magazine. The January 2007 issue of CPM will be the first to be released with these largely increased numbers.

"These are exciting times for Church Production Magazine", says Brian Blackmore, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Church Production Magazine. "Our circulation is growing because we recognize that churches in general are becoming more technically sophisticated. Besides the constant pursuit of higher quality audio, video and lighting, we have consultants telling us that a broader range of technologies — for example, digital signage — are becoming 'givens' in new church construction projects. With the larger circulation and, now, 10 issues we have the editorial capacity and the reach to cover the market in a more representative fashion providing valuable content to larger churches (CPM largest subscriber segment) and small- to medium-size churches (Church Sound growth segment)."

In addition to the increased circulation and expanded frequency, the magazine will feature a newly expanded editorial advisory board, including current Church Sound contributors. The advisory board will be an editorial feature set addressing large, medium and small churches; plus other enhancements that support readership feedback from the 2006 Church Production Readership Survey.

"The union of Huge Universe's Church Sound into Church Production Magazine creates a tremendous opportunity for both publishing concerns and the industry in general," Said Mark Herman, Publisher of Huge Universe Inc., an EH Publishing, Inc. company. "CPM will gain an enthusiastic growing readership and a core group of dedicated writers. This merger makes Church Production Magazine the undisputed leader at all levels in the religious technical field. Incorporating and continuing the Church Sound audio-based educational editorial style will allow decision makers to build their knowledge of sound reinforcement in churches of all sizes."

Churches are one of the largest vertical markets for audio, video and lighting. The demands of this marketplace now have a single source to meet the education, buying and decision making needs in Church Production Magazine.
