Netstreams Named Finalist For 2007 Mark Of Excellence Awards

Company Earns Two Nominations for Panorama™ and Streaming Music Manager

AUSTIN, TX, – February 13, 2007 – NetStreams®, the global leader in IP Audio, Videoand Control products, announced that the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA®)TechHome Division has named the NetStreams Streaming Music Manager and NetStreams Panorama™ High Definition Multi-Room Video system as finalists for the 2007 Mark of Excellence awards. Recognizing the best in custom home electronic
products, services, and installed technology, the Mark of Excellence awards are given annually to the top manufacturers of consumer electronics products in several categories.

“NetStreams is extremely honored to have two products be named as finalists for this prestigious award,” said Kevin Reinis, president and CEO of NetStreams. “Our customers continue to rave about the performance and quality that these unique products provide.”

Nominated as a finalist in the “Best IP-Based” product category, NetStreams’ Streaming Music Manager (SMM) is the first product on the market to allow for seamless aggregation of a consumer’s music stored on multiple devices on a network. The SMM automatically finds and indexes music files from devices such as – a computer, MP3 player (such as an iPod® from Apple (NASDAQ Symbol: APPL), USB mass storage, or Network Attached Storage (NAS).

“Consumers love the fact that they don’t have to worry about where their music is on the network,” said Reinis. “The Streaming Music Manager integrates all their music automatically for them, providing an easy user experience.” The Streaming Music Manager creates a database by constantly monitoring and indexing music files for both existing and new music files; including music on devices connected via USB. When a user chooses to listen to a song, the SMM finds and plays the file via a StreamNet™ enabled IP Speaker or DigiLinX™ IP amplifier. The Streaming Music Manager also allows six different music selections and its meta-data to be streamed for simultaneous in different rooms.

Nominated as a finalist in the “Best Video Components” category, the Panorama Multi-Room Video system distributes up to four High Definition video sources to multiple displays. “With the advent of more video sources and flat panel displays, the demand for high quality, multi-room HD video has increased dramatically, and NetStreams Panorama provides high definition quality video distribution at an affordable price,” commented Reinis. Panorama can also be utilized to distribute video in large facilities -- such as airports, casinos, etc – without signal degradation from long cable runs (even up to 1,000 feet), thanks to innovative “Cable Length Compensation” (CLC) cards, which are included with the Panorama Video Ports for proper signal attenuation. Panorama can be operated as a stand-alone video distribution and control system, or integrated with the Company’s line of Musica™ or DigiLinX Multi-Room Audio systems. This versatile system distributes both digital audio (S/PDIF) as well as video. The system can be controlled via IR or RS-232 and stores IR for controlling both the sources and the displays.

A panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and journalists select winners of this award. Winners will be announced during an awards dinner on March 9, 2007 during the Electronic House Expo Spring 2007 in Orlando, Florida.
