The Reference 3 Anthony Gallo Speaker System

The new Anthony Gallo Reference 3 was designed with very much the performance conscious audiophile in mind. This innovative new model builds on the design philosophies of our original reference products, the Nucleus Solo and the Nucleus Reference.

A three-year development process was required to complete the design, with much of this time being invested in critical listening tests conducted by Anthony Gallo and his team of beta testers. This loudspeaker is uniquely equipped to demonstrate the advantages of the leading high resolution formats, DVD Audio and SACD. Very few high-end speakers, including the majority of $5k+ models can approach, much less equal, the Reference 3's extended high frequency response, and none offer near omni directional (300 degree) dispersion. For the ultimate in neutrality and transparency, the Reference 3 operates without a crossover across most of its bandwidth - from 125 Hz to 50 kHz.

 

Anthony Gallo Acoustics Due Speaker Barely 11 inches tall and 5" wide, DUE benefits from the patented and proprietary technologies developed by Anthony Gallo for his award-winning series of loudspeakers. Based upon the company's best-selling Nucleus Micro™, each DUE is comprised of two of these spherically-shaped, 4" speakers separated by a patented CDT™ tweeter. Cylindrical Diaphragm Transducer (CDT)

Patented by Anthony Gallo, CDT is made up of a diaphragm membrane made of Kynar, a cutting edge aerospace plastic. This diaphragm is then coated with pure silver because of it high conductivity and reliability. Next we silver solder high quality oxygen free copper wires to each and of the diaphragm. Finally, the diaphragm assembly is tightly wrapped around a rigid polypropylene core. This inner core acts as attenuation for the driver's back-wave. Unlike conventional drivers, the CDT doesn't use voice coils or magnets. Instead the signal is passed across the conductive surface of the diaphragm, which attempts to expand, while the shape of the driver supplies the necessary restorative forces

The Micro Satellite/ Micro Ti The satellite uses a three inch, full range driver housed in a four inch spherical, steel enclosure. There is no crossover in the critical vocal range. We use proprietary and patented "S2" technology for full rich sound. The result is a transparent, dynamic, lifelike sound which does an excellent job of conveying the emotional content of the music. The Subwoofer

With this subwoofer even explosions have texture. A better sounding speaker will give you better sounding effects. Why should we not be able to hear all the detail and not just some muddy, boomy, boxy sounding crash. Since we expect you to be able to use our sub for music and not just theater sound effects, we use the highest quality woofer we could find. In fact, we had this one jointly developed with Peerless of Denmark to work synergistically with our patented S2 technology. Our 150 Watt rating is for continuous RMS. This means a continuous output, all day long, of 150 Watts. It has a big heavy power supply and very high parts quality.
 

The MPS Subwoofer With Anthony Gallo Acoustics' MPS subwoofer, even explosions have texture. Since we expect you to use your MPS for music as well as for home theater, we used the highest quality woofer we could find to work synergistically with our patented S2 technology. You can’t ask for more than that in a home stereo subwoofer. Our 240-watt rating is listed only for continuous RMS, which means a continuous output of 240 watts all day long The MPS features a unique two-piece design that allows the amplifier and subwoofer sections to be either positioned together or located separately. Place the amp on your equipment rack, and what remains is a driver measuring only 7" in height and 11.01" in diameter. This provides the flexibility to accommodate any installation, and pumps out more bass than you'd ever dreamed possible from such a small space.

 

TR-2 / TR-1 Subwoofers The Anthony Gallo Acoustics TR-2 is a high-output, high-performance active subwoofer with a Class A/B high-current amplifier. The best subwoofer in its price range, the TR-2 has an integral bass equalizer that goes up to 6dB of low bass boost, and a total output of 250 watts. The TR-2 provides room-shaking, tooth-rattling performance that will make your living room feel like the local movie theater. The TR-2's cylindrical steel enclosure mirrors the spherical technology of our Nucleus Micro™ series of satellite speakers, but provides larger internal air volumes and a flat rear panel for the controls. Subwoofer System

Two subs off of one amp module. Flexibility is not something normally associated with subwoofers. Typically you try your best to hide the ugly thing in a corner or under a plant and sacrifice getting at the controls or finding the optimal room positioning. The MPS 150 allows you to remove the amplifier module and place it with the rest of your equipment while having to hide only a very small woofer housing. Our sub can be made small enough to actually fit under a couch or other piece of furniture. It can do this while still having the output normally associated with subwoofers many times this size. More importantly, only the audio signal via a single wire needs to get to the sub. No power cord is involved and thus you are not limited by outlet location for your positioning!

Wallflower Floor Stands (optional). When we were looking at stand options for the Micro satellites we were faced with a design challenge. The sphere looks best when it appears to "float" in space. This is the purest presentation in our opinion. We then looked to the natural world for ideas and discovered that the Sunflower stalk makes the perfect stand for a sphere. We modeled ours after that. The wires can be completely hidden inside the stem and exit at the top behind the terminal plate on the satellites. From the front or side views they are almost invisible. The stand base is weighted to minimize the footprint and provide the sleekest possible look. All in all we feel it is an elegant design solution.

 

"The" Amplifier Available in black or silver, Anthony Gallo S.A. home theater / stereo subwoofer amplifier offers numerous control settings that allow a user to control and fine tune multiple passive subwoofers, making it a perfect fit for custom installations. When used in its mono mode, the Reference S.A. can generate an astounding 600 watts RMS. The Reference S.A. is an Anthony Gallo amplifier that was meticulously designed and manufactured to be a unique, multi-functional subamplifier and controller for numerous passive subwoofers. Instead of running around the room back and forth trying to get your subs just where you want them, with the Reference S.A., you can tweak your bass sound from one location. Unlike many bass amplifiers, the new Reference S.A. features dual phase controls, which allow for independent adjustment of the subwoofers. This powerful, unique new Gallo amplifier is stable down to two ohms in stereo and four ohms in mono (when bridged). In addition, the unit features some recessed controls that require a screwdriver for making adjustments. This is done to prevent others from altering any carefully calibrated settings.

Home Theater Package

For theater use, you will not find a more elegant, compact solution. We have been quick to recognize the fact that technology is quickly invading your living space. It has long been acceptable to have a television in the middle of an otherwise beautiful living room. We have also tolerated early speaker designs, which tended to look more like furniture than electronics. All of that changed with the coming of home theater. Having a theater means that we now have to find places for five speakers and a subwoofer in that same room. The rush was on to build smaller and cheaper speakers. Problem is, that is exactly what they look like, small, cheap, plastic boxes and mind you most of them are not all that small. They are more like bookshelf speakers than the satellites they claim to be. Hopefully you will notice that we have solved this problem. The Micro theater system blends into your room and sounds fantastic. We hope that you will actually want to see them. With a subwoofer that looks more like modern sculpture, and satellites available to match almost any color scheme, you are on your way to design freedom.

Stereo System. If you have a dedicated listening room or demand even that last, lowest bass octave, the MPS 150 Powered Subwoofer is the way to go. With variable crossover and volume controls you can fine tune the sub with the Micro satellites and generate room shuddering output. It is one of a very few subwoofers on the market that sounds acceptable for stereo listening and not just theater explosions and effects. You will not find a system anywhere near this size that has this much output. You will certainly not find one that can match your décor this well.
